President-elect Donald Trump is demanding that the FBI preserve all records from the allegedly shut down Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI).
Trump uses Truth Social to phone For record keeping.
“We demand that the FBI preserve and preserve all records, documents, and information regarding the now-closed DEI office, which should never have been opened and which was open. should have been shut down a long time ago,” Trump wrote.
“Why are they closing the day before the inauguration of a new government? The reason is corruption!” he added.

President Trump has said he will eliminate DEI programs across the federal government in 2023. His selection for the job appears to have led to a self-imposed purge of DEI in both government and the private sector.

The scramble to suppress evidence began as President-elect Donald Trump's transition team began compiling the names of senior officials who pushed for DEI.
One source familiar with the plan told Breitbart News that an executive order is being drafted to create a committee to recommend removing these executives, and that the CEOs are “definitely '' he said as he headed to President Trump's desk.
Axios first reported last week that Meta, which is owned by Mark Zuckerberg, would immediately discontinue its DEI program. In a memo obtained by the outlet, Janelle Gale, Meta's vice president of human resources, said the company “is committed to improving the way it applies fair and consistent practices that reduce bias for all people, regardless of their background.” He said he aims to build a “focused” program.
Similarly, McDonald's announced in early January that it would end some DEI practices.
McDonald's announced Monday that it is eliminating specific goals for achieving diversity at senior leadership levels. The company also plans to end a program that encourages suppliers to develop diversity training and increase the number of members from underrepresented groups in their leadership positions.
Additionally, Jeff Bezos' Amazon is reportedly quietly backtracking on its DEI efforts.
