“Democrats are making up a story that I said Milwaukee is a ‘bad city,'” Trump said on TruthSocial after his campaign argued that former President Trump was referring to election integrity and crime when he called Milwaukee a “bad city” during a meeting with Republican lawmakers three days ago.

Biden won Wisconsin by 21,000 votes in the 2020 election, one of the closest in the nation.
Earlier this week, Trump spokesman Steven Chang confirmed that Trump was speaking about crime and election issues in the city.
All five members of Wisconsin’s Republican delegation also said on the same day that Trump had said Milwaukee was a terrible city, but that he was referring to either crime or the integrity of the state’s elections.
State and national Democrats have criticized Trump’s comments, with one state Democrat starting a trend by posting a photo of Milwaukee with the caption, “Milwaukee is a great city. Spread the word.”
Democrats purchased 10 billboards in Milwaukee to run ads about Trump’s comments in the state.
The Biden campaign also launched special merchandise stating that Milwaukee is “not a terrible city.”
“Trump hates Milwaukee because Milwaukeeans know what kind of person he is: He hates to lose, and he’s on track to be a loser for the second time in November,” added Adi Toev, a spokesman for the Democratic National Committee.
