Trump Claims U.S. Control Over Strait of Hormuz

In a bold statement on Wednesday, President Trump claimed that the United States fully controls the Strait of Hormuz. This comes shortly after Energy Secretary Chris Wright noted a rise in oil exports through this vital waterway, amid ongoing economic struggles in Iran.

“The United States has complete control of the Strait of Hormuz, and I think we will maintain it!” Trump posted on Truth Social.

He elaborated, saying, “People refer to our naval blockade as a ‘steel wall,’ and there’s nothing Iran can do about it.”

Last month, the U.S. reinstated a blockade on Iranian ports. This move is part of a strategy by the president to pressurize Tehran into seeking peace.

Wright also revealed on Tuesday that the average daily crude oil flow from the Strait had reached nearly 9 million barrels. In addition to this, he mentioned that new and improved pipelines are transporting an extra 5 to 7 million barrels daily, bringing the total oil flow to approximately 15 million barrels per day. Notably, over 20 million barrels passed through the Arabian Gulf region just on Sunday, exceeding pre-conflict averages.

Trump further commented on Iran’s current state, stating, “They have no navy or air force, their remaining soldiers are unpaid, their Revolutionary Guards are in disarray, and their leadership is, at best, uncertain!”

He concluded, “Their economy is in shambles. All they have is fake news and soaring inflation. It’s only getting worse! Iran is all talk and no action. The bully of the Middle East is no more. Praise be to Allah!”
