Trump Discusses Break with Epstein

President Trump recently spoke to reporters about his decision to distance himself from Jeffrey Epstein, the notorious sex trafficker.

While aboard Air Force One, Trump was asked about Epstein’s former connections with his Mar-A-Lago resort in Florida. He noted that Epstein had, in the past, betrayed him by hiring staff from his resort.

Specifically, Trump mentioned that some of those he hired were young women. “I think it was one of the people. He stole her,” Trump said. When pressed about the matter, he hesitated at first, not wanting to confirm the details, before ultimately agreeing with the reporter’s question about young women working for him.

Responding to queries about what roles these young women held, Trump revealed, “At the spa. Yes. It’s the people who work at the spa,” before boasting about the amenities available at Mar-A-Lago. “People were taken from the spa. He hired me, in other words, they left.”

Further into the conversation, Trump stated that he was unaware of Epstein poaching employees. “I didn’t know that, and when I heard about it, I told him we don’t want you to take our people,” he said, clearly perturbed by the situation.

During this exchange, a female reporter brought up one of Epstein’s victims, Virginia Giuffre. Giuffre had previously alleged that Epstein’s associate, Ghislaine Maxwell, had trafficked her after taking her from Mar-A-Lago. She mentioned that her father worked in maintenance there.

Trump responded vaguely regarding Giuffre, saying, “I think she worked at the spa. I think so.” He added, “And she wasn’t complaining about us, as you know.”

In Giuffre’s deposition, she claimed that Maxwell had initially aimed to employ her as a “travel masseuse,” but instead directed her into sex work at a young age.

Trump has previously stated that he was “not a fan” of Epstein and claimed to have cut ties with him about 15 years ago. Recently, White House Communications Director Stephen Chen reiterated that Trump expelled Epstein from his club because of his inappropriate behavior.
