Former President Trump has expressed support for Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.), calling the controversial lawmaker a “credible America First fighter.”

Boebert, who was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2020, announced in December that she would redistrict, abandoning the 3rd District and seeking re-election in the 4th District this year. The 4th Congressional District is currently represented by current Congressman Ken Buck (Republican), who has decided to run for re-election in the same district. He plans to resign from his House position.
She defended her decision to change districts, saying she and her family needed a “fresh start.”
Boebert’s new district is solidly Republican, and winning the Republican nomination could improve her chances for re-election. But polls released in late January after the first debate between Republican candidates for the 4th District suggest Boebert may have a hard time winning the nomination.
Boebert placed fifth with 12 votes, followed by Logan County Commissioner Jerry Sonnenberg with 22 votes, Colorado House Minority Leader Mike Lynch with 20 votes and Douglas County Film Director Deborah Flora with 18 votes. , followed by state House Minority Leader Richard Holtorf with 17 votes.
