WASHINGTON – President Trump's envoy, President Steve Witkov, has revealed plans for a summit meeting with Ukrainian Saudi Arabian officials next week.
“We are now discussing to coordinate meetings with Ukrainians…it's [in] Saudi Arabia. And I think it's about lowering the framework for a peace agreement and the first ceasefire,” Witkoff told reporters in the White House driveway.
The conference will attempt to restore US-Ukraine dialogue after the Trump administration moves to stop the flow of weapons and intelligence to Kiev in response to an explosive oval office meeting featuring Ukrainian President Volodymia Zelensky.
Zelensky said at the meeting that he spurred Trump's rage and opposed a temporary ceasefire.
“We just can't talk about the ceasefire, we can't talk and talk about it,” Zelensky said at the meeting.
Trump told him: “Look, if you can get a ceasefire now, I tell you that you'll take it, so the bullet stops flying and your man will stop being killed.”
