President Donald Trump's administration is reportedly considering selling more than 400 government property, including headquarters for several federal agencies.

Sales ensure that taxpayer dollars are no longer spent in vacant or unutilized federal spaces. Disposal of these assets ensures that costly maintenance is eliminated and that you can reinvest in a high-quality work environment.

“The list below contains the properties specified for disposal. We will update as the evaluation progresses,” he added.

The list was named federal estates in 47 states in Washington, DC, Puerto Rico.

The agency list included headquarters buildings for the Department of Energy, Department of Agriculture, Department of Justice, FBI and GSA. It also included the American Red Cross and the Office of Personnel Management buildings.

said Michael Peters, commissioner of public building services. Bloomberg“Just because it's on a non-core list doesn't mean it's never on sale.”

“But if someone makes an offer to the table, we'll appreciate it,” he added.

Peters noted that maintenance on some of the properties listed has been ignored.

“The postponed maintenance is reflected in the condition of these buildings. If you tour many of them, you don't want to be with your dog, much less in your work environment,” he told Bloomberg.

Showing potential changes in the plan, Associated Press The GSA property list reported that it had been removed from the website by Wednesday morning.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the live version of Website Properties no longer appear. however, archive The web page version still lists 443 buildings.

It is unknown why the list was removed from the site.

The GSA did not respond to requests for comment from the AP.

But on Tuesday press release The agency's website states, “The basic mission of GSA's Public Building Services (PBS) allows us to provide cost-effective workspace solutions to federal agency clients and enable us to meet the mission of American taxpayers.

“PBS has identified specific core federal property in its portfolio, which are necessary for critical government operations, such as courts, ports of entry, facilities, and other important government activities that are important for defense and law enforcement. These core assets are essentially important to the federal government's mission and are retained for long-term needs,” the statement continues.

“The GSA will consider non-core assets of sale from government ownership in an orderly manner to ensure that taxpayers do not pay the substantial maintenance costs associated with empty, underutilized federal space or long-term building ownership.
