President-elect Trump boarded a special Air Force plane Saturday afternoon for his historic return to Washington, D.C.
President Trump, his wife Melania, and their youngest son Barron began their journey to the U.S. Capitol from West Palm Beach, Florida, where they climbed the steps waving to the crowd.
A few hours later, the group will arrive in Sterling, Virginia, where President Trump will host an evening reception and fireworks show at Trump National Golf Club.
President Trump's daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared Kushner also joined the group in an Air Force special aviation mission plane.

His immediate family, including his wife Lara and children Luke and Carolina, also accompanied him on the trip to Washington, DC.

On Sunday, President Trump will attend a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery and a “Make America Great Again” rally, followed by a candlelit dinner.
The inauguration will take place at noon Monday in the Capitol Rotunda due to frigid temperatures in the area. Afterwards, Trump, the second president in history to be elected non-consecutively, is scheduled to deliver his inaugural address.
