Trump firmly supports Christianity at the UN: 'The most targeted religion globally today'

Trump Emphasizes U.S. Values at United Nations

During his address at the United Nations, President Donald Trump underlined America’s unique stance in defending Christianity and sovereignty. He highlighted the importance of these values, particularly with the upcoming 250th anniversary of American independence on July 4, 2026.

Trump expressed hope that nations inspired by the U.S. would join in reinforcing shared commitments and values. “Let’s come together to safeguard free speech and protect religious freedoms, especially for those, like Christians, who face persecution,” he stated. He also urged the importance of maintaining the distinct qualities that make nations exceptional.

Moreover, he reflected on the effectiveness of his administration’s immigration policies in contrast to the increasing acceptance of mass immigration by various Western countries. “When your prisons start filling up with people claiming asylum who respond to kindness with crime —that’s a clear indication that the open borders experiment isn’t working,” Trump remarked. He emphasized that it’s time for other countries to take action on this issue, warning, “Your country is headed for trouble.”

In further remarks, Trump criticized the UN, stating that it funds actions detrimental to Western nations and their borders. He cited a budget proposal for 2024, which allocated $372 million for assisting around 624,000 migrants heading to the United States. “The UN is supposed to prevent this invasion, not support it,” he added.
