Trump Celebrated in Israel After Historic Peace Agreement
President Donald Trump received a warm welcome in Israel following a significant peace agreement he negotiated between Israel and Hamas, which resulted in the release of all remaining hostages in the area.
Upon his arrival in Israel, he was met with applause in parliament, where many wore MAGA-style hats. Attendees even dubbed him the “President of Peace.” On Monday, the 20 surviving hostages were reunited with their families.
“Thanks to you, I was able to get my life back,” one of the returning hostages expressed.
For the first time in over two years, Hamas has no living hostages, a remarkable outcome of Trump’s agreement.
In a speech during a parliamentary session, Trump stated, “After two harrowing years of darkness and captivity, 20 brave hostages are back in the glorious embrace of their families. This is an amazing thing.” He added that 28 more beloved individuals would be returning home, describing it as a dawn of peace for the land.
After their release, Trump met with the families of the hostages, many of whom shared stories of the terrible experiences they endured since October 7, 2023. The hostages expressed their profound gratitude for Trump’s role in securing their freedom, with one telling him about meeting his 14-month-old daughter, who was born during his captivity.
“Thanks to you and your staff, I got my life back,” he told Trump. “I came back here and met my girl, who was already 14 months old, and now life is full.”
Another family member remarked, “Your name will be remembered for generations.”
Shortly after, President Trump met Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi in Sharm el-Sheikh, where leaders are set to finalize the peace agreement during the international Gaza peace summit.
