President Donald Trump announced on the weekend that Venezuela has agreed to repatriate citizens living illegally in the United States.
Trump wrote on a Saturday post on a true society that Venezuela has reached an agreement with the White House in order to accept citizens, including members of the violent Gang Tren de Aragua.
“We are in the process of deleting records of illegal foreigners from all countries, and all countries agree to accept these illegal foreigners.”
Venezuela has historically refused to cooperate with the US delivery flight. However, Trump's tough attitude toward immigrants seems to have pushed to reconsider Venezuela's dictator Nicholas Maduro.
Richard Grenel, Trump's mission, visited Venezuela Maduro on Friday. Grenel returned with six American citizens who were detained by the Maduro administration following the July presidential election.
White House spokeswoman Caroline Ribit argued that Grenel's visit did not show that the Trump administration had acknowledged Maduro as a legitimate leader. US officials argue that Maduro has lost the election and the challenger Edmund Gonzales has acknowledged Venezuela's presidential election.
Grenel said Wall Street Journal“The only award for Maduro was my physical being, the first US officials who visited the country for the first time in several years.”
“It was a big gift for him to visit President Trump's special envoy,” Grenel added.
MAURICIO CLAVER-CARONE, a special envoy of the Latin American State Department, Washington Post The agreement to regain citizens between the United States and Venezuela is not negotiations.
“Tren de Aragua and other groups of Venezuela of other groups must be expelled abroad, Venezuela must accept them, which is their responsibility … that is not negotiated. And if they did not comply with these requirements, it would be clear, as Trump themselves said, would have great results, “clubber Caron said.
Playing card I wrote “It's very good to return Venezuela to his hometown, and Venezuela agrees to receive all the illegal aliens of Venezuela in the United States, including Tren's gang members, to their own country. Is very important.
“Venezuela has agreed to supply further transport,” Trump continued. “We are in the process of deleting the record of illegal foreigners from all countries, and all countries agree to accept these illegal foreigners. The criminals have been deleted by our country, and they have been the strongest since the Trump administration's first term!
The Biden administration had previously expanded temporary protection status to about 600,000 Venezuela people living in the United States.
Land Security Secretary Christie Noem announced last week that the Trump administration had ended an extension to protect the Venezuela people until October 2026. Existing protection will expire in April and September.
Lebit stated on Friday that 400 Toren de Aragua Gang members were detention waiting for the Venezuela to be repatriated.
