Trump Donates Family Bible to Museum
On September 8, 2025, President Donald Trump shared some personal news at the Bible Museum in Washington, DC. He stated that he had “personally delivered” the Trump family’s Bible to the museum, which he’s obviously quite proud of.
During his address to the White House Religious Freedom Committee, Trump discussed the significance of the Bible in American culture. He highlighted its historical importance, noting that it has influenced civilization, ethics, art, and literature throughout the ages.
“For thousands of years, the Bible has shaped civilization, ethics, art and literature, bringing hope, healing and transformation to millions and millions of lives. The Bible is also an important part of the American story, and that’s what I’m pleased to present it.”
Reflecting on his connection to the Bible, he mentioned a moment when it was handed to him. Trump noted with a touch of nostalgia that the Bible had been used during his appointment and had been on display in the museum. “And that’s an honor. It’s an honor,” he emphasized.
Furthermore, Trump reinforced the idea that faith is a cornerstone of America’s identity. He urged the need for a stronger religious foundation in the nation, stating, “We must regain our religion in America, and make it stronger than ever.”
“As we know, America was founded on faith. I have said it for a long time. When faith weakens, our country seems to be weaker. And under the Trump administration, we are defending our rights and restoring our national identity under God. We are one nation under God, and we will always do so.”
In addition to his personal anecdotes, the president announced plans to direct the Department of Education to create new guidelines aimed at protecting the right to pray in public schools, addressing what he described as a “serious threat to religious freedom in American schools.”
“For most of our country’s history, the Bible has been discovered in every classroom in the country, but in many schools today, students are instilled in anti-religious propaganda, and in some are punished with religious beliefs, very, very, very strongly.”
While specifics were not detailed, a spokesperson from the Department of Education indicated that they are eager to support Trump’s initiatives on promoting religious freedom within educational settings across the U.S.
