President-elect Trump will meet with Republican senators in the Senate on Wednesday, preparing to take office later this month and get serious about his policies.
President Trump's transition team confirmed to Fox News Digital that they have met with Senate Republicans, who currently control the Senate.
The president-elect's rally will be hosted by Sen. Shelley Moore Capito (R-Va.), chair of the Senate Republican Policy Committee, the office said.

President Trump is scheduled to travel to Washington, D.C., this week for the funeral of former President Jimmy Carter, who passed away this month at the age of 100 after receiving hospice care.
The meeting, which will include Senate Republican leadership and others, will be held at 6 p.m. in the Mansfield Room in the Capitol. This room will be used for weekly senatorial lunches and other large meetings.

The group plans to work on plans for one or two budget reconciliation bills in the coming months. President Trump wants “one strong bill,” in contrast to Senate Majority Leader John Thune's (R.S.D.) proposal for two separate reconciliation bills, one on the border and one on taxes. He said he was.

All members of the Republican conference have been invited to attend the meeting, but it's unclear exactly who will be there Wednesday night.
