President Donald Trump is being recognized for his role in securing an initial phase of a peace agreement between Israel and Hamas, with some suggesting he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for this achievement.
Lizzie Sabetsky, a pro-Israel activist, went so far as to propose that the prestigious award be renamed to honor Trump, highlighting the significance of his contributions to peace. “Thank you for having the courage to do this,” she expressed during her appearance on Fox News. “You were the only one who could accomplish this,” she continued, reflecting a sentiment held by many of his supporters.
“You truly deserve the Nobel Peace Prize. It should actually be called the Donald J. Trump Peace Prize because what has transpired is historic, and we are immensely grateful,” she added.
Trump Claims Global Unity in Achieving Peace
Sabetsky celebrated the news live from Tel Aviv, noting how different this moment feels compared to two years ago when she appeared on the same show while taking shelter from the October 7, 2023 Hamas attack. “What a wonderful day,” she said, emphasizing the hopeful prospects of peace. She reflected on the anxiety faced by Jewish communities worldwide over the years, particularly regarding the fate of hostages. “Just knowing they are finally coming home fills me with relief,” she remarked, suggesting that the tough military pressure has been a necessary step towards genuine peace.
Agreement Marks Significant Step Forward
Her remarks came after Hamas agreed to a peace deal initiated by Trump, aimed at ending the conflict in Gaza and facilitating the return of hostages. Trump announced this milestone via his Truth Social platform, expressing pride in the advancement of the peace plan. He stated that all hostages would be released immediately and that Israel would pull back its forces as part of the agreement. He acknowledged the contributions of mediators from Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey for their roles in this event.
Rep. Brian Mast from Florida echoed the call for Trump to receive the Nobel Peace Prize during his appearance on “Fox & Friends.” He labeled the situation as monumental and encouraged those responsible for awarding the prize to consider Trump’s recent efforts in global peace-building.
“He’s made more strides in ten months than in the previous five years. This demonstrates what the strength of the United States can mean on the world stage,” Mast asserted.
