Trump indicates that Sen. Adam Schiff might be the next to face legal issues

Trump Suggests Possible Charges Against Adam Schiff

In a recent statement, President Trump hinted that California Senator Adam Schiff might soon face criminal charges, following indictments against former FBI Director James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James.

Trump called upon the “necessary authorities” to reconsider the first impeachment, which Schiff, a Democrat from California, spearheaded. He labeled the allegations that he pressured Ukraine to investigate the Biden family as a “hoax.”

“The Ukraine impeachment (mine!) fraud was an illegal hoax far bigger than Watergate,” Trump expressed. He added, “I sincerely hope that the necessary authorities, including Congress, investigate this matter! Adam Shifty Schiff was deeply dishonest and corrupt.”

He also claimed, “So many laws and regulations were violated and clearly broken!!!”

Trump faced impeachment in early 2020 on charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress but was acquitted by the Senate weeks later.

Schiff acted as the lead impeachment manager during that process. Shortly after, Trump was impeached again due to the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot.

The first impeachment focused on allegations that the Trump campaign withheld $391 million in security aid to Ukraine, aiming to compel the nation to help with the Biden family investigation.

Last month, Trump publicly urged Bondy regarding the lack of progress in the Justice Department’s investigations involving Comey, James, and Schiff, with all three denying any misconduct.

“Nothing is being done. Comey, Adam Shifty Schiff, what will happen to Letitia??” Trump complained.

This concern was intended as a private message to Bondy, as reported later by media outlets.

Currently, Schiff has not been charged, while Comey was indicted on September 25 for lying to Congress and obstruction of justice.

Additionally, legal action against former national security adviser John Bolton could occur as soon as next week, according to reports.

Federal investigators have been looking into Schiff’s activities for several months. In August, Attorney General Pam Bondi appointed Ed Martin as a special prosecutor to supervise the investigation related to potential mortgage, bank, and wire fraud.

Schiff faces allegations of criminal behavior for designating a Maryland property as his principal residence while also claiming a California condo for the same purpose in tax and mortgage filings.

The accusations revolve around federally backed loans from 2003 to 2019, from which Schiff allegedly received tax benefits and favorable interest rates.

Bill Pruitt, the Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, referred Schiff for investigation in April.

Attempts to reach Schiff’s office for comment have been made.

Previously, Schiff served as the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, where he promoted claims regarding Trump’s connections to Russia, which eventually led to significant backlash.

These mortgage fraud allegations against Schiff first came to light in 2023, according to reports.
