President Donald Trump recently made some strong statements regarding former Special Counsel Jack Smith during testimony before Congress, describing him as “deranged.”
In a post on Truth Social, Trump accused Smith of ruining numerous lives while pretending to uphold justice. He expressed that it became clear to Congress that Smith’s past failures and questionable prosecutions were highlighted during the discussions, and that these actions had serious implications.
“Deranged Jack Smith’s sentence is being commuted by Congress. It was over when Congress talked about his past failures and wrongful prosecution. He destroyed many lives under the guise of justice. Jack Smith is a deranged animal and should not be allowed to practice law. If he were a Republican he would have his license revoked, and worse!”
Trump urged Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate Smith, labeling the now-closed case against him as a fraudulent endeavor initiated by Democrats. He asserted that the country should pay a significant price for the turmoil it has experienced.
“I hope the Attorney General will take a look at what he did, including some of the crooked and corrupt witnesses he sought to use in the case against me. It was all a fraud by the Democrats, and they should pay dearly for what they have put our country through!” he concluded.
On social media, Trump reiterated his grievances regarding Smith’s actions, underscoring his belief that those involved should be held accountable.
