45th President Donald Trump has officially joined the legal effort to remove Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis from the case.

In a court filing Thursday, Trump's lawyers accused prosecutors of “erroneously and intentionally” bringing racial issues into the case and, in doing so, inciting racial hostility.
They cited a recent speech in which Willis claimed that he and fellow prosecutor Nathan Wade were being targeted because of their race.
“It's a little confusing. I appointed three special prosecutors in my right. They only attack one of them,” she said. “Some people will never think a black person is qualified, no matter what his accomplishments are.”
Trump's lawyers argue that her comments violated state rules on professional conduct. Steve Sadow, Trump's chief defense attorney, argued that Trump was trying to distract from the fraud allegations.
“Her attempts to incite racial hostility and prejudice against the defendants in order to distract and deflect attention from the allegations of fraud warrant the sanctions of dismissal and disbarment,” Sadow wrote.
Willis has come under increasing scrutiny over her alleged romantic relationship with Wade.
Michael Roman, who has accused the two of having a relationship that went beyond work, said Wade was paid $654,000 for his role in assisting the office in prosecuting Trump, and that both men were He said he “personally benefited” from the relationship.
