Trump labels CNN as 'cowardly failures' for doubting Iran nuclear strike outcomes

President Donald Trump did not hold back in his criticisms of the media during a morning press conference on Tuesday. He took aim at CNN and MSNBC while discussing Israel’s ongoing conflict, particularly after those outlets downplayed the success of a recent US strike on an Iranian nuclear facility, labeling CNN as “scum.”

“You’re a fierce loser,” he remarked. “I have to watch that garbage. It’s all fake news. But I think CNN has some brave people, perhaps?”

Last Saturday, US military forces executed significant precision strikes against three nuclear sites in Iran: Fordou, Natanz, and Isfahan. A B-2 stealth bomber dropped a massive 30,000-pound bunker-buster bomb, which Trump referred to as an “epic military success.” He claimed, “Iran’s major nuclear enrichment facilities have completely disappeared” during a speech later that night.

During the same press conference, Trump defended the operation, addressing doubts over the extent of the damage done to the facilities. Officials in his administration have expressed approval of the mission’s outcomes, suggesting a strong blow to Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

When a reporter inquired whether Iran could reconstruct its nuclear program, Trump insisted, “The place was demolished. The B-2 pilots did a job better than anyone could have imagined.” He then criticized mainstream media, specifically calling out CNN, which, according to him, reported that the locations weren’t as destroyed as previously thought. He added, “I think those networks should feel shame.”

Trump’s criticism of CNN and MSNBC has continued, focusing on network leadership changes and branding them as ineffective. “No one really knows what they’re doing; it’s changed hands so many times,” he commented, pointing to Brian Roberts at MSNBC specifically as being weak and pathetic.

As of now, CNN has not responded to Trump’s accusations, and MSNBC has yet to provide any comment.
