Trump Criticizes Epstein Questions During Cabinet Meeting
President Donald Trump expressed frustration during a cabinet meeting on Tuesday when reporters inquired about Jeffrey Epstein, denouncing such questions as inappropriate. He referred to Epstein as “this creep,” highlighting that the conversation had been ongoing for years.
“Can I pause for a moment?” Trump interjected when a reporter directed Attorney General Pam Bondy to discuss Epstein. “Are people still fixating on this guy? We have pressing issues like Texas… and we’re talking about him?” Trump questioned, seemingly incredulous.
“Do you really want to waste your time on this?” he remarked to Bondy, who replied that she was prepared to answer.
Recently, the Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI released a memo declaring the end of speculation concerning a supposed client list linked to Epstein. They determined that no such document exists that lists elite individuals allegedly involved in Epstein’s criminal actions. The memo also reaffirmed that Epstein’s death in prison in 2019 was ruled a suicide.
Pressures on Bondy After DOJ Memo
Trump continued his critique, baffled that Epstein was still a subject of inquiry. “In light of recent events in Texas and all our success and challenges, you’re talking about Epstein?” he remarked.
A reporter pursued the topic further, questioning whether Epstein had any affiliations with intelligence agencies, noting the peculiar circumstances surrounding the footage from the day he died.
Claims Surrounding Epstein’s Death
Bondy mentioned that her response about the client list has not changed since her earlier comments in a Fox News interview. She also pointed to the issue of graphic content discovered on Epstein’s devices, stating such material would not be publicly released.
She noted that she was unaware of any intelligence connections related to Epstein, but she would look into it.
Later, she addressed the timeline of the security footage surrounding Epstein’s death, asserting it did not provide conclusive evidence of foul play despite previous indications of a suicide.
“That’s essentially what it boils down to,” she concluded, alluding to the ongoing investigation into Epstein.
