Trump Leads Biden by 6 Points as He Dominates with Independents

In a hypothetical head-to-head race, former President Donald Trump has a 6-point lead over President Joe Biden nationally, according to a new poll from Harvard University and Harris University.

poll, published On Monday, with less than six months to go until the Nov. 5 election, Trump was found to hold a 49% to 43% lead over Biden. 80% of respondents said they had not decided yet.

When undecided voters were asked to choose a candidate to include in the remaining sample, Trump led 53% to 47%. His 6-point advantage is a 2 percentage point increase from April, when he led Biden 52% to 48%, including lean voters.

Republicans are more likely to support the former president than Democrats are to support Biden, signaling greater enthusiasm within the GOP.

Including Lean voters, the 45th president won the support of 95 percent of Republican voters, but Biden captured 91 percent of Democratic voters. Nearly 1 in 10 Democrats supported Trump, but only 1 in 20 Republicans supported Biden.

Moreover, among independents and third-party voters, Trump leads Biden 56% to 44%.

The addition of independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. reduces his lead over Biden by one point.

Trump’s approval rating is 45%, Biden’s 40%, and RFK Jr.’s 14% (including those who lean towards his supporters).

Among Republican voters, 86% support the presumptive Republican nominee, with 8% supporting Kennedy and 6% supporting Biden. Biden leads the Democrats with 79%, but Kennedy and Trump are trailing by 14% and 7%, respectively.

ATTENTION — Conservatives take note: Take note of RFK Jr.’s crazy left-wing rhetoric

The 45th president still comfortably leads Biden among independents, 44% to 34%. In this scenario, an additional 22% of the demographic supported Kennedy.

Additionally, polls show that the presidential race would remain extremely competitive under three scenarios, assuming President Trump was convicted in either the documents scandal, the January 6 scandal, or the Georgia election scandal. It was also discovered that he was deaf.
