Trump Leads Biden in Key Swing State Pennsylvania

Former President Donald Trump is leading President Joe Biden in the key battleground state of Pennsylvania, according to the latest Signal Poll released Monday.

investigation Indicated In the head-to-head race, Trump leads Biden by four points, with 48% approving of him to Biden’s 44%, and a further 8% remaining undecided.

In head-to-head races, Trump leads Biden among swing voters by 37% to Biden’s 30%. Trump also leads Pennsylvania independents by 15 points.

In the race that also includes third-party candidates, Trump leads with 42 percent. Biden is again close behind with 38 percent. Another 9 percent chose independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., followed by independent candidate Cornel West with 2 percent and Green Party candidate Jill Stein with 2 percent. Another 6 percent are undecided.

The poll is notable in that it was conducted both before and after Thursday’s presidential debate. It was conducted June 27-28, 2024 among 800 likely voters. The margin of error is +/- 3.45 percentage points.

The survey also shared insights into the debate itself, finding that “22% of debate viewers had a generally negative opinion of Biden, compared to just 13% of Trump (18% thought both candidates were bad).”

“Among easily persuaded presidential voters (probably Trump, probably Biden, or undecided on the ballot) who watched the debate or followed it afterward, Trump fared significantly better than Biden,” the survey found, citing striking statements from some voters, including:

“We need young, passionate, progressive people. I felt ashamed and hopeless” – Male, 45-54, likely to vote for Biden

“Biden should resign now. Who is running this country?” – Female, 65+, Likely to vote for Trump

“Joe Biden should step down due to his age” – Female, 30-44, likely to vote for Biden

“Biden [sic] “I’m too old to run again” – Female, 55-64, Undecided Voter

Despite initial panic among Democrats after the debate, Biden’s team and family made it clear they had no intention of withdrawing from the race and doubled down on their efforts.
