Trump mass-fires military academies’ ‘boards of visitors’ in purge of ‘woke leftist ideologues’

WASHINGTON – President Trump announced Monday that he announced that he would be fighting a “left ideologue” for members of the four service academy visitors.

“Our academy of service has permeated the Awakened Left ideologue over the past four years. I have ordered the immediate dismissal of the Army, Air Force, Navy and Coast Guard Visitors Committee,” Trump (78). wrote about the true society.

“We have the most powerful army in history, and it starts with appointing new individuals to these committees. We must make the military academy great again!”

Members of the Visitors Committee are variously appointed by the President, Vice President and Congress members. The president's appointee serves a three-year term.

The Board will provide academy staff with advice and recommendations regarding the operation of each agency.

Former President Joe Biden pushed out Trump's first term appointees in September 2021, calling for 18 board members to resign.

The move was intended to ensure that members were “aligned” with Biden's vision for the military and ensure that they were “qualified to serve them,” according to the then House Press Secretary White. Jen Psaki said at the time.

Trump's appointees asked to resign in 2021 included notable allies of the 45th President, including Kellyanne Conway, Sean Spicer, Russ Vote and Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster.

Some former board members have tried to appeal Biden's actions to the Supreme Court, but the judge refused to hear the case in November 2024.

The move is intended to fight the “left ideologue.”

Since the Biden administration's acquisition, there has been a trend in liberal initiatives at several service academies.

In October 2023, Merchant Marine Academy (the fifth of the country's five military academies) implemented a new policy, allowing midshipmen undergoing gender transition to seek exemptions from military service requirements.

It was repeated in March. Jim Banks (R-ind.) questioned West Point's move to drop the “duty, honor, nation” motto from his mission statement, replacing it with a general “military value.”

Trump has deployed several executive orders dealing with the military in recent weeks. This included Defense Secretary Pete Hegses denied members of the transgender services, terminated the DEI initiative and revived soldiers who were rejected for not taking the Covid-19 vaccine.
