Trump Media, Rumble turn to US court in feud with Brazil judge

President Donald Trump's Trump Media Technology Group and video sharing platform Rumble have filed an emergency motion in the US court against Brazil's Supreme Court Judge Alexandre des Moraise, the company said in a statement on Sunday. I stated.

On Friday, the judiciary ordered the suspension of South American national video platforms until it complies with court orders after businesses sued Moraz in U.S. District Court in Tampa over accusations of illegal censorship.

The Brazilian Supreme Court did not immediately reply to a request for comment.

The allegations attempt to stop the order issued by judges, as Moraes's decision stated that it “violates American sovereignty, the US Constitution, and US laws.”

In a statement, the company said Moraz had threatened criminal charges against Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovsky.

Moraes, who also led the country's conflict at Elon Musk's X, ordered the suspension of Rumble's services until the company appointed him as a legal representative in Brazil, as the law requires foreign companies to operate locally. .

Moraes also ordered the payment of pending fines and blocking accounts of Allan Dos Santos, a digital influencer close to extreme extreme President Jair Bolsonaro, and ordered the halt of monetization of his profile.

Dos Santos, who currently lives in the US, is considered a fugitive in Brazil and is currently investigating hate speech and allegations of spreading false information.
