Former President Donald Trump met with the Ukrainian president Friday at Trump Tower in New York City and said he has a “very good relationship” with Volodymyr Zelensky.
“It is very important that we share plans and all the steps on how we can strengthen Ukraine,” Zelensky said. “I decided to meet with both Mr. Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris because we don't know who will be American after November,” he told reporters. After the meeting, President Trump said in an interview on Fox News: “We both want this to end and we both want a fair deal. And it has to be fair. And it's going to be done at the right time. I think it will come true.” I think so. ”
Neither Mr. Trump nor Mr. Zelenskyy publicly elaborated on the details of a potential agreement.

The brief exchange between the two leaders highlighted the seriousness of Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the role of the United States in ending the conflict.
