Trump mocks Biden for ‘Vice President Trump’ flub

Former President Trump made an online post mocking President Biden after Biden mistakenly referred to the vice president as Trump during a press conference on Thursday.

While answering the first question at his solo major news conference after the NATO summit, Biden mistakenly referred to Vice President Kamala Harris as Trump.

“I would not have chosen President Trump as my vice president. [if I didn’t] “I don’t think she’s fit to be president,” Biden said.

in PHis True Society On the site, Trump mocked the president’s gaffe.

“Bad Boy Joe started his ‘Big Boy’ press conference with the words, ‘I wouldn’t have chosen VP Trump as my VP, but I don’t think she was qualified to be President,'” Trump posted.

“Well done, Joe!” he said.

Biden’s gaffe came in response to a question from Reuters journalist Jeff Mason asking what concerns the president had about whether Harris could beat Trump if she came out on top in this fall’s presidential election.

The president’s poor performance in the debates has raised concerns within the party, leading to growing calls from Democrats for him to step aside and allow someone else to run.

Biden stressed that he would continue to campaign and said he wouldn’t step aside until his team told him he couldn’t beat Trump.

At a press conference later, Biden praised Harris for her handling of reproductive rights and her ability to address “just about every issue,” but said he didn’t think anyone was better equipped to take on Trump.
