Trump mocks Biden's debate showing in rant asking him to stay in the race

In a post on Truth Social on Saturday, former President Trump mocked President Biden’s performance during the recent presidential debate and urged him to continue his campaign.

“Villain Joe Biden should ignore the many criticisms and run an agile, powerful, strong and far-reaching campaign,” Trump said. Said in his post.

Trump’s call comes amid more than a week of tension within the Democratic Party in the aftermath of a shaky performance in last Thursday’s debate, in which Biden appeared hoarse and stuttering on CNN, raising questions within Democrats about whether he should remain the party’s nominee.

“He should be just as sharp, precise and energetic as he is in the debates. He should sell everything from open borders (millions of people, including record numbers of terrorists, allowed into our country from prisons and mental hospitals, absolutely no checks or vetting!), to abolishing Social Security, men participating in girls’ sports, high taxes, high interest rates, encouraging military wokeism, out-of-control inflation, record crime, electric cars only, subservience to China and other countries, endless wars, putting America at the bottom, losing the dollar standard, and many more. Yes, Sleepy Joe should continue his campaign to destroy America and make China great again!” Trump said in a post on Saturday.

After the debate, five House Democrats publicly called on Biden to withdraw from the presidential race. When asked if he would be persuaded to withdraw from the race, Biden said in an interview with ABC on Friday, “If the Almighty came down and said, ‘Joe, withdraw from the race,’ I would withdraw from the race. The Almighty is not going to come down.”

The White House and Biden’s allies have insisted that Biden is not dropping out of the race, and in a fundraising email sent earlier this week, Biden said no one is “trying to get rid of” him.

“I am the Democratic candidate,” the fundraising email said. “No one is trying to get rid of me. I have no plans to go away. I am going to fight this race to the end. And we are going to win this election. If that’s all you want to hear, please support me by donating a few dollars.” [Vice President Harris] And I’m going to defeat Donald Trump in November.”
