President-elect Donald Trump has nominated Monica Crowley to several key positions in his administration, including ambassador and assistant secretary of state.
President Trump announced Crowley's nomination Wednesday afternoon in a post on Truth Social, saying she will be involved in major U.S. events over the next four years, including the nation's 250th anniversary, the 2026 World Cup, and the 2028 Summer Olympics. He emphasized that he will be representing the United States.
“I am honored to nominate Dr. Monica Elizabeth Crowley to serve as Ambassador, Assistant Secretary of State, and Chief of Protocol to the United States,” President Trump wrote.
“Monica will serve as the managing representative for major events hosted by the United States, including the 250th anniversary of the United States in 2026, the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
Mr. Crowley served as assistant secretary of the Treasury for communications during the first Trump administration, and Mr. Trump said he did a “great job.”
“Her extraordinary achievements have earned her the highest honor bestowed by the Department, the Alexander Hamilton Award,” he stressed.

During a CPAC panel discussion hosted by Breitbart News Washington bureau chief Matthew Boyle in February, Crowley explained how he expected Biden not to be the nominee at CPAC in 2022.
“Even back then, two years ago, I thought there was no way Joe Biden would ever be the Democratic presidential nominee. I mean, he's always been a corrupt hack, but now he's a demented corrupt guy. “I'm a hacker who did it,” she said.
