Georgia will be a key state in the 2024 election.
A Quinnipiac University poll shows Donald Trump leading Kamala Harris by 4 percentage points.
Donald Trump: 49%
Kamala Harris: 45%
A Quinnipiac University poll released Monday found former President Donald Trump leading Vice President Kamala Harris by 4 points in Georgia, a margin outside the margin of error.
The poll is important because Harris is desperate to win Georgia, the first state she visited after the Democratic National Convention in August, to reduce Trump's multiple paths to victory.
Political experts believe that Trump's victory in Georgia, North Carolina and Pennsylvania would ensure his reelection, but if Harris wins Georgia, Trump will have to outperform expectations in other states.
A Quinnipiac University survey found the following support:
Trump: 49 percent
Harris: 45 percent
Margin of error: ±3.2 percent
