Former President Trump’s aircraft, known as “Trump Force One,” was diverted due to mechanical problems on Friday en route to a rally in Montana.
The plane was headed to Bozeman, Montana, but landed safely at Billings Logan International Airport, staff said. Confirmed To the Associated Press.
Jenny Mockel, a clerk at the Billings, Montana, airport, told the newswire that the former president was heading by private jet to a campaign event in Bozeman, just over two hours away.
Trump hold an election rally Friday evening in the Treasure State. The event is widely seen as a platform for the former president to attack Montana Sen. Jon Tester, the last Democrat elected statewide. Polls show Tester is in a close race with Republican businessman Tim Sheehy, who is backed by the GOP presidential candidate.

In the video posted Social Media Platform X “We just landed in Montana, a really beautiful place,” the former president said of the visit, explained by Trump aide Margo Martin.

Trump’s only campaign activity this week is a rally in Montana, while Vice President Harris is outnumbering Trump in the number of campaign rallies this week, with five scheduled by herself.
Harris has garnered significant enthusiasm and fundraising as she has risen to the top of the Democratic field. Her campaign said 14,000 people attended a rally in Philadelphia on Tuesday and 15,000 in Detroit on Wednesday night.
Trump boasts a 15-point lead over the vice president, according to the Emerson/The Hill poll, but Harris’ 40 percent approval rating is a notable five-point improvement from the 35 percent Biden received in March.
