President Donald Trump praised Elon Musk's work to eliminate waste, fraud and abuse during his speech at a joint Congress meeting Tuesday night.
The tech billionaire rose up during his speech and received a lot of applause, mainly from Republicans. Trump read a long list of absurd programs discovered by the Musk-led government efficiency department.
“We've found hundreds of billions of scams.”
“We're going to end the terrible waste of taxpayers' dollars,” Trump said with a tremendous applause. “And for that, I created a brand new branch of government efficiency, Doge. You've probably heard of it. Probably led by Elon Musk, who is in the gallery tonight!”
The Republican responded with loud applause, and Musk rose to his feet and waved. Trump then joked that even Democrats appreciated Musk's efforts, but didn't want to admit it.
“Listen to some of the scary waste we've already identified. $22 billion [Health and Human Services] Provide free homes and cars to illegal aliens. $45 million for Burma's diversity, equity and inclusion scholarships. $40 million to improve the social and economic inclusion of sedentary immigrants – no one knows what it is! ” he joked.
“$8 million to promote LGBTQI+ in the Lesotho nation of Africa. No one has heard of it,” he joked. “Indigenous peoples in Central America and Afro-Colombia empowerment, $60 million. $8 million to make microphone transgender. That's true! $32 million for left-wing propaganda operations in Moldova,” Trump continued.
“Mozambique men circumcision costs $10 million. Middle Eastern Arab Sesame Street costs $20 million and programmatically $20 million. The recently created decarbonisation of the Housing Commission is $1.9 billion. And I know she's involved. He cried out for a boo.
“A $3.5 million consulting agreement for surveillance of gorgeous fish. $1.5 million for voter trust in Liberia. $14 million for social cohesion in Mali. $59 million for illegal alien hotel rooms in New York City,” Trump added.
“More people were discovered, exposed, and quickly fired by a group of highly intelligent, mostly led by Elon. “We've found hundreds of billions of scams.”
Musk received another applause from the audience.
