Trump refuses to say if he’s spoken to Putin; White House ‘talking’ about ending Ukraine war

President Trump on Friday did not say if he had talked to Russia's President Vladimir Putin since he started the second term, but there is a continuous debate about ending the war in Ukraine. Ta.

“We will talk,” Trump answered the reporter's question about whether he had called Putin. “We've been there, we're talking. I think we can probably do something important. We want to end that war. I am the President. It would have never started.

“And we are discussing, yes,” he added.

When asked if the discussion was ongoing, the president replied, “I'm already talking.” But when asked if he was already talking to Putin, he answered. “I don't want to say that, but we are in a very serious discussion.”

“I just don't want to say that. We are having a very serious discussion about the war, we want to end it,” he added.

Trump has been putting pressure on Putin to come to the negotiating table to end the war since last week.

More than 48 hours after returning to the White House, Trump said Putin destroyed his country in a war for nearly three years with Kiev. He threatened the increase in sanctions on Russia and its eneburers if the contract did not reach immediately.
