Trump Relaunches Biden’s CBP One App as Self-Deportation Tool

The Trump administration has rebooted the Biden administration's smartphone application, which is used by nearly 1 million immigrants to enter the United States as a self-abolition tool known as the “CBP Home.” The new application offers several features, including allowing illegal aliens to take their oath and declare their intention to leave the country.

On Monday, CBP announced a renewal of its press release listing new features. President Donald Trump ended his previous application CBP-One shortly after taking office in January. With the new application, non-immigrant aliens will allow I-94 applications and payment fees. This is a temporary travel permit that allows visitors to travel beyond 72 hours, over 25 miles from the border.

Additionally, the application allows commercial importers to request inspections of cargo that may enter the United States. Like CBP-One, the application allows users to check the waiting time at the border ports of entry and allow bus operators to submit passenger manifests to facilitate inspection upon arrival.

According to CBP, the reboot of an application renamed CBP-Home includes a new feature that allows for ordered, defined voluntary processes that have unlawfully existed in the United States or parole cancelled an orderly defined voluntary process that organizes the intention to depart the United States. According to the CBP, the new feature is a necessary tool to comply with the President's Executive Order 14159, protecting the American people from invasion.

Pete Flores, representative of U.S. Customs and Border Patrol Committee, commented on the reboot.

The CBP Home App reinforces its mission to secure US borders by ensuring legitimate entry and supporting effective enforcement of travelers. This app offers an easy way to declare an intention to voluntarily depart for US illegal aliens, and the opportunity to leave before facing harsh consequences. This strengthens our commitment to enforce US laws and protecting national security.

The CBP-Home app is free and can be downloaded to your Apple or Android device via the Apple App Store and Google Play. You can also download it from the CBP website.

What is not prominent in the new application is the ability of immigrants to apply for admission with the aim of entering the United States and claiming asylum. As reported by Breitbart Texas, immigrants interviewed in 2024 found that immigrants recognized in previous CBP-One versions by CBP officers were not asked asylum-based questions during the hospitalization process by CBP officers.

By January 2025, more than 970,000 immigrants had used their applications to enter the United States and were released when previous applications were terminated by the Trump administration. Shortly after the inauguration, around 300,000 immigrants were using the application to await entry when the application was concluded by the president-elect.
