Trump removes three Democrats from federal commission responsible for gas stove ban; one was just denied entry.

The Trump administration has removed three Democrats from a government committee, with at least one of them being locked out of their office.

According to a report, the firings are tied to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), which deals with product safety and has recently stirred up controversy by discussing a possible gas stove ban.

“This is a horrifying, lawless attack on the independence of our product safety monitoring agency,” someone from the advocacy group expressed.

The three Democrats—Mary Boyle, Alexander Horn Salic, and Richard Trumka Jr., the son of the late AFL-CIO president—were all appointed by former President Joe Biden.

Well-informed sources revealed that Hoehn-Saric and his staff were not allowed access to their offices, while the other two were informed about their dismissal in a different manner.

William Wallace, a director at Consumer Reports, criticized the administration’s actions.

“This is a terrifying, lawless attack on the independence of our product safety monitoring agency,” he stated. “Anyone who cares about keeping their family safe should oppose this move and call for its reversal.”

This situation is reminiscent of a case from February, where Democrats were also barred from entering the U.S. International Development Agency, which sparked allegations of illegal and unconstitutional actions.

Wallace further noted that for over 50 years, bipartisan support has existed for an independent CPSC, urging Congress to protect its integrity against such power plays.
