President Trump reiterated his desire to assume ownership of Canada and Gaza on Sunday.
The president aims to become the next step in the Palestinian enclave in the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, two seemingly likely to fight Canada, to reach his attendance at Super Bowl LIX. I worked on the scenario.
Trump said Fox News pre-recorded, pre-match interviews Turning Canada into America's 51st state is the truth he is considering in response to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau last week, who told Prime Minister Trump was serious about absorbing Canada.
“I think Canada is much better off being the 51st state because Canada loses $200 billion a year,” Trump insisted on Fox News' Bret Baier.
“And I'm not going to let that happen, that's too much. Why do we basically pay $200 billion a year with subsidies to Canada? If they're in the 51st state, then I'll be there. doesn't bother to do that.”
Trump threatened to enact massive tariffs in Canada and Mexico, but shelved the lawsuit for at least 30 days after the two countries agreed to invest more in border protection.
Republicans also reiterated their pledge to chase Gaza while talking to Air Force 1 reporters on their way to New Orleans, where the Super Bowl was hosted between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles.
“We're committed to buying and owning Gaza. As long as the US rebuilds it, we might give it to other states in the Middle East and build that section,” Trump said. .
“Others may do it through our sponsorship. But we own it, take it and work to make sure Hamas doesn't come back. To return. There is nothing. The location is a demolition site. The rest will be demolished.”
Trump claimed that other Arab countries would welcome Palestinians, and that he would not want to evacuate and return to Gaza.
“They don't want to go back to Gaza. If they can give them homes in safer areas – the only reason they're talking about returning to Gaza is that they don't have an alternative.” He said.
“When they have alternatives, they don't want to go back to Gaza.”
Trump first raised the idea last week, with Israel showing interest in resetting Gaza's population, but Hamas, who now controls the strip, rejected the idea. Other countries are opposed to the proposal.
Egypt announced that it will hold an emergency Arab Summit on February 27th to talk about “new and dangerous developments.”
The fight in the unstable regions stopped during the ceasefire contract between the Jewish state and Hamas, and hostages held in Gaza for six weeks were released.
Three other Israelis were released over the weekend, but the trio were visible as they emerged from captivity.
Trump said in Air Force 1 the three looked like Holocaust survivors.
“Today, seeing hostages return, they looked like Holocaust survivors,” he said.
“They were in a terrible state. They were weakened. It looked like Holocaust survivors years ago, and I don't know how much we can take it.”
