President Donald Trump announced on Sunday the establishment of a new federal initiative called the “Super Intelligence Force” (SIF). This force is meant to streamline the government’s efforts to keep the United States leading in the rapidly evolving field of artificial intelligence.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump stated that SIF will work together with consumers, public-interest groups, faith organizations, providers of critical infrastructure, and technology companies. He said, “The Super Intelligence Force is tasked with coordinating the effort of the Federal Government to ensure that America continues to lead the World in Super Intelligence.”
He emphasized the significance of AI technology, referencing it as something greater than both the Industrial Revolution and the Internet, and noted its potential to “protect the interests and improve the lives of all Americans.”
The president indicated that senior administration officials would lead this initiative, which will report directly to him and White House chief of staff Susie Wiles.
Just last week, Trump had officially rebranded artificial intelligence as “Super Intelligence” throughout the executive branch following a summit with leading technology figures at the White House. During this meeting, he mentioned that the tech executives had signed what he called the White House Accord on Super Intelligence—something he described as a “morally binding” commitment. Trump remarked that they viewed this document as almost akin to a separate constitution, indicating its significance to them.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg expressed his views on the summit later, describing it as a “positive step.” He acknowledged the commitment from leaders of major American tech labs to establish strong internal controls and a framework of audits and reviews.
