Former President Trump criticized Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Harris’ recently announced economic plan, saying she has become a “full-on communist.”
“In her speech yesterday, Kamala has gone full communist. Did you hear that? She’s gone full communist,” Trump told supporters at a rousing battleground state rally at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre Township, Pennsylvania, on Saturday.
The Republican presidential candidate called her “Comrade Kamala” and slammed her “socialist price controls.”
“Comrade Kamala announced that he wants to introduce socialist price controls. Did you see that? That’s never worked before,” he said. “This is [President Nicolás] Venezuela’s Maduro Plan [of government price controls]The former Soviet Union’s Maduro Plan.
“They tried it there,” he said. “And what happened to the Soviet Union?”

Trump said Harris’ federal price control plan, which was framed on the campaign trail as a solution to “price gouging,” “excessive prices” and “excessive corporate profits,” would lead to rationing and skyrocketing.

“It will cause rationing, starvation and high prices,” Trump said. [the Biden-Harris administration’s] “The Inflation Control Act is one of the biggest scams of all time. Inflation is horrible, it’s up over 50%. People say it’s 30%, 40%, but it’s hitting a lot more people.”

Harris announced on Wednesday that if she takes office, she will implement a federal price-fixing program for “food and grocery products” to stop “big corporations” from mistreating consumers.
Harris has positioned her economic roadmap, dubbed “Kamalanomics” by social media pundits, as an “opportunity economy” plan, with affordability measures including expanded down payment assistance for first-time home buyers and a $6,000 child tax credit for first-time parents.

Trump said Harris’ economic policies would not work, noting that similar price fixing has been tried in other countries throughout history and has failed.
“What she said yesterday doesn’t work. It has never worked,” he said. “Many countries have used it and in every case it has destroyed them.”

He said Harris was promising “things she can’t deliver.”
“This is a communist system. … She’s promising to give away things she can’t deliver on. It’ll never be approved,” he said. “It’s like when she and Crooked Joe tried to give away student loans. And guess what? It didn’t work out very well.”

Trump said a communist takeover might sound politically good but was “very dangerous,” and targeted younger voters who have warmed to Biden’s promise to eliminate student loan debt.

“Students are saying, ‘We love him because he has student loans,’ but he was rejected,” Trump said. “Her plan is very dangerous because it may sound good politically, and that’s the problem. … This is Marxism. This is fascism.”
