Former President Donald Trump said in a speech in Tennessee on Thursday that it was “insane” how Christians and individuals who consider themselves religious could vote for the Democratic Party.
“How can a Christian vote for a Democrat, a Christian, a believer? It’s crazy. It’s crazy.”
President Trump made this comment to the audience, calling President Biden, who is likely to be his opponent in the November presidential election, “an incompetent president who doesn’t know what he’s doing.” This was right after he claimed that he would not lead us to the promised land.
In his speech, Trump lamented the accusations made against him in recent history and vowed to protect Christians from attacks by “radical leftists” who “go after” religious people.

“If you think about it, the chains are already tightening around all of us. Ultimately, the radical left is coming after us all because they believe that our loyalties are not with them. Because I know that,” Trump said. “Our allegiance is to our country and our allegiance is to our creator. They don’t want to hear that.”
President Trump also said he believes those who have targeted religion in recent years are intent on “destroying as many crosses as possible and covering them with the banner of social justice.”
“But under the Trump administration no one will touch the cross of Christ, I swear to you,” he said.
President Trump also told attendees that he believes the “greatest threat” to Americans is “from within.”
“People at home are more dangerous than people outside the country,” he said. “We can deal with China, we can deal with Russia, we can deal with all of those things if we have smart leaders. But the people inside are very dangerous, and in my opinion they are very dangerous. They are sick people.”
