Trump says Kamala Harris let Americans ‘be raped and murdered’ by migrant ‘monsters’

Michigan on Friday after federal immigration officials acknowledged that nearly 15,000 illegal immigrants who have been convicted or charged with murder are in the United States but not in custody. Former President Donald Trump criticized Vice President Kamala Harris at a state rally.

“She forced American sons and daughters to be raped and murdered at the hands of a vicious monster,” Trump told supporters at a rally in Walker, a Grand Rapids suburb.

While President Trump was speaking, Harris was on her way to Arizona to visit the Mexican border region for the second time since becoming vice president.

ICE provided detailed numbers on detained immigrants who have been convicted or charged with crimes to Rep. Tony Gonzalez (R-Texas) on Wednesday, and the congressman announced Friday ahead of Veep's arrival. published the data.

President Trump mused Friday that the timing may not have been a coincidence.

“So these numbers came out,” he said. “No one has ever seen these numbers. For years, no one has seen them. And maybe the patriots at ICE or someone did something. They just said, 'This The country is deteriorating,” he simply said. Such a country cannot exist. ”

“As of July 21, 2024, there are 662,566 noncitizens with criminal records on ICE's national registry, 13,099 of whom have been convicted of murder!” tweeted Gonzalez on ICE data.

“Americans should be safe in their communities.”

Acting ICE Director Patrick Rechleitner's letter does not indicate how many criminal immigrants crossed the border during the Harris-Biden administration or how many were in state or local custody.

“I've known for some time that the numbers are actually worse than I thought,” President Trump said Friday. “They should have been released earlier so we could do something.

“She doesn't know what the hell she's doing,” he added of Harris. “Instead of running for president, she should resign in shame for what she has done to our country.”

President Trump reiterated this week that Harris should have implemented tougher border policies as an immigration “czar” during her three-and-a-half years as vice president.

Harris accused Republicans of tanking the bipartisan border security spending bill as the reason the immigration crisis continues.

But on Friday, she is expected to announce further steps if elected, including introducing “stronger emergency authorities,” directly countering criticism from Trump and elected Republicans. It seems likely that they will do so.
