ABC legal analyst Sunny Hostin told co-hosts on ABC’s “The View” on Wednesday that it was “blasphemous” for former President Donald Trump to be selling Bibles.
Co-host Sarah Haynes said: “It’s pandering. This happened after he decided he could get black votes by making gold sneakers. Or that he was happy on Cinco de Mayo. Remember that unforgettable tweet about taco bowls? The best ones are made at Trump Tower Grill. I love Hispanics. So there you have it.”
Co-host Alyssa Farrar Griffin said, “He’s selling this for $60, and I’m a Christian, and as soon as I heard that price tag, I wanted to die to get this one page.” We think of the persecuted Christians around the world who are gambling.” In places like China, Saudi Arabia, and Syria where people cannot practice their faith openly, people are trying to read the Bible and profit from it. That way you’ll know everything you need to know about the guy. ”
“I can’t say what I want because it’s Holy Week,” Hostin said.
She added: “It’s blasphemous.”
Co-host Whoopi Goldberg said, “There’s so much going on that it’s not even worth it anymore.”
