Kid Rock Opens New Restaurant with Trump’s Support

President Trump celebrated the launch of Kid Rock’s new restaurant in Nashville, referring to the musician by his nickname during the announcement.

Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert James Richie, inaugurated a seafood restaurant themed around American culture on Tuesday.

In a social media post late Monday, Trump shared, “Congratulations to my friend, Kid Rock (I call him Bob!) at the grand opening of his new Nashville restaurant, Detroit Cowboy.” He added, “I’ve heard it’s a very friendly Maga facility. I look forward to going there soon!”

Kid Rock expressed his gratitude in a post of his own, thanking the former president.

The restaurant features an impressive bald eagle mural adorned with red, white, and blue wings, making a bold statement on the walls.

Mixing rap and country rock, Kid Rock has been a staunch supporter of Trump since his first term, forging an even closer alliance over the past year. He participated in the 2024 Republican National Convention and has actively engaged with the Maga movement.

In a piece by Rolling Stone last May, the publication analyzed Kid Rock’s transformation from an American rock icon to a vocal supporter of Trump.

In 2023, Kid Rock was at the center of controversy after a boycott against Bud Light, linked to transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney. He infamously posted a video where he shot a can of Bud Light, expressing his disdain for the brand.

Despite this, he later stated he had moved past the boycott.

Detroit Cowboy marks Kid Rock’s second venture in the Nashville restaurant scene. Recently, there were reports about his other establishment, which faced issues regarding the status of some employees.

Kid Rock addressed these allegations, suggesting they were exaggerated and aimed at creating buzz.

He clarified in a post, “I have nothing to do with my daily routine at Honky Tonk, but it’s a good clickbait, I get it.” Adding that his restaurant is supportive of legal immigration, he reiterated Trump’s commitment to expediting the process for those wishing to enter the U.S. legally.
