Trump Shares Important Update on Israeli Hostages for a Significant Day

Trump’s Response to Hamas Hostage Situation

On Friday, President Donald Trump spoke from the Oval Office, suggesting that Hamas might comply with his demands regarding the release of hostages.

Hamas expressed a willingness to free the remaining hostages and transfer power, but this was contingent upon Palestinian groups reaching a consensus and gaining backing from Arab and Muslim nations. Trump described this moment as “unprecedented,” emphasizing it as a pivotal advancement toward resolving the conflict in the Middle East.

“Today is special in many ways. I want to thank everyone involved. Our goal is to conclude this war and achieve peace in the Middle East,” he stated.

Trump mentioned that allied nations were uniting their efforts to apply pressure on Hamas as they sought a reconciliation.

“I appreciate the countries that supported this initiative: Qatar, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, and others. We’ll see how things unfold. It’s crucial to transform intentions into tangible actions. Importantly, we look forward to the safe return of the hostages to their families,” he added.

The president issued an ultimatum to Hamas, stating that they must adhere to the ceasefire framework by 6 PM on Sunday, or risk losing the agreement entirely.

“If we finalize this last agreement, it will unleash a response against Hamas unlike anything seen before,” Trump warned.

Meanwhile, Palestinians in Gaza urged Hamas to accept these terms in hopes of bringing an end to years of turmoil. UN data indicates that over 33,000 Palestinians have been displaced by Israeli initiatives, with a significant portion of Gaza’s population facing imminent hunger.

Trump’s proposal includes Hamas’s demands for the immediate release of all captives and handing over Gaza’s authority to “International Stabilization Forces.” Additionally, it proposes that Palestinian specialists engage in governance under new international resolutions.
