U.S. Attack on Iranian Uranium Site

President Donald Trump recently released a video showcasing the U.S. assault on Isfahan, Iran, where it is believed that significant amounts of uranium are stored underground, according to Rafael Grossi, the Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

The video, shared on Truth Social, depicted heavy bombs being dropped on the uranium site, leading to a tremendous explosion that produced thick black smoke. Footage showed missiles approaching the target, emphasizing the scale of the operation.

Nasa fire-tracking satellites pinpointed the explosion near Mount Sofe, and the blast was reported to be visible even from the Meteosat 12 meteorological satellite, indicating its intensity.

Isfahan, which is Iran’s third most populated city, is known for its ballistic missile assembly and the production of rocket propellants.

The bombs used in this recent strike were smaller than those deployed against three Iranian nuclear sites last summer but were designed to penetrate deep underground, as noted by U.S. officials.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) stated that the operation aimed at various assets of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps, including command centers, missile sites, and naval vessels.

President Trump has hinted at the possibility of further strikes targeting Iran’s energy infrastructure if a timely agreement isn’t reached. He mentioned a potential increase in troop presence in the Middle East, already numbering around 50,000.

“Significant progress has been made, but if for some reason we do not reach an agreement soon—which I think we probably will—should the Strait of Hormuz remain compromised, we may resort to obliterating unmoved energy sites,” Trump stated in his Truth Social post.

In a recent press conference addressing Operation Epic Fury, Secretary of the Army Pete Hegseth and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Dan Cain reiterated the ongoing attacks aimed at Iran’s military industrial base. They noted that over 11,000 targets have been struck inside Iran since the conflict began on February 28.

As the oil market watches the ongoing turmoil, Trump is striving for a peace deal that safeguards national security while considering economic factors ahead of the approaching midterm elections. He signaled a strategic conclusion to military operations, with an emphasis on protecting American lives while seeking lasting solutions in the region.
