Trump shooter Thomas Crooks was not a member of rifle team: school district

The high school of attempted Trump assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks is correcting several aspects of the mentally disturbed shooter’s teenage years, including denying that he joined the school’s rifle team, was a victim of bullying and threatened to carry out a school shooting.

In a statement updated Saturday, Bethel Park High School said it had “no record” of Crooks, 20, ever trying out for the tri-fleet.

“The coach does not recall meeting Crooks, however, it is possible that Crooks may have unofficially participated in a practice, taken some shots and then not returned,” the statement read. “There is no record of this happening.”

Two former classmates told The Post this week that Crooks had taken the entrance exam for the school’s rifle unit in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, but was dismissed after being a “comically bad” shooter and making concerning comments.

Bethel Park High School also took public action to dispel “hurtful misconceptions” that Crooks had been bullied during her time at high school.

“Our school records indicate that Mr. Crooks is in good academic standing, attends school regularly, and has never been subject to disciplinary action, including bullying or intimidation,” the statement argued, noting that the district “keeps detailed records of students’ academic records, attendance, disciplinary history and health records.”

Bethel Park slammed allegations that Crooks, who is graduating in 2022, had threatened violence against the school.

“There was an unfortunate incident in 2019 in which a student made threatening statements towards certain school administrators. The incident was thoroughly investigated and dealt with swiftly, and the student involved received appropriate disciplinary action,” the school explained.

“It has nothing to do with Thomas Crookes.”

This is a developing story, check back for updates.
