In one of his first executive orders, President Donald Trump ordered the closure of a mobile app introduced by the Biden administration that immigrants used to obtain visas and enter the United States, pending future appointments. all canceled.

The CBP One app previously allowed immigrants to apply for asylum by scheduling an appointment with a Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer.

The roughly 270,000 immigrants waiting for reservations in Mexico will have to wait even longer to have their cases heard as the Trump administration implements tough immigration reform policies.

Tens of thousands of immigrants have used the app to enter the United States under the Biden administration, allowing up to 1,450 migrants to schedule entry per day.

Video footage that has surfaced shows migrants openly sobbing just outside the southern border after learning their appointments have been cancelled.

“Starting January 20, 2025 at 12:00 PM ET, CBP ONE features that previously allowed illegal aliens to submit advance information and make reservations at eight border ports of entry on the Southwest border. will no longer be available. All appointments have been cancelled,” the agency announced.

According to CBP, about 96,000 foreign nationals were encountered at the border in December alone, with about half attempting to officially enter the United States.

The CBP app also played a key role in the Biden administration's efforts to encourage “legal” immigration into the United States, as illegal immigration continues to spiral out of control due to Democrats' lax “catch-and-release” border policies. .

Some analysts argue that by giving foreign nationals the opportunity to come to the United States with the help of apps, the Biden administration is fighting illegal immigration by helping to promote “legal” immigration. He claims that it was a means.

Last year, New York City's Democratic mayor, Eric Adams, urged Biden to give New York more federal funding to deal with the influx of illegal aliens who commit violent crimes and prey on funds funded by American taxpayers. He received a backlash from his own party.

Additionally, immigrants were made aware that Democratic officials were responsible for providing them with clothing, food, housing, etc. funded by U.S. taxpayers, so they were given different options depending on how many children they had and how many children they had. This was made possible by an immigrant debit card with an amount listed on it. Given other factors, they are most likely to become Democratic voters in the future.

President Trump is expected to sign additional executive orders aimed at unjustifiably blocking many of Biden's disastrous border policies.

“I am declaring a national emergency at our southern border. All illegal immigration will cease immediately and we will begin the process of returning millions of criminal aliens to their original locations,” President Trump said before taking office. Ta.

“We will reinstate the Remain in Mexico policy. We will end catch-and-release practices. And I will send troops to our southern border to repel this disastrous invasion of our country. Under the order I signed today, we will designate cartels as foreign terrorist organizations,” Trump continued.

“And by invoking the Alien Enemies Act of 1798, I am directing the government to take full advantage of the tremendous powers of federal and state law enforcement to protect the United States, including our cities and towns. “We will direct them to eliminate the presence of foreign gangs and criminal networks that bring devastating crime to the mainland,” he added.

The Remain in Mexico policy, previously implemented during the Trump administration, requires asylum-seeking migrants to wait in Mexico until their cases are heard, discouraging immigration to the United States.
