Trump Signs Order to Implement DOGE ‘Cost Efficiency Initiative’

WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Wednesday, implementing a cost-effectiveness initiative led by the Office of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

According to the White House fact sheet, orders Instructions “Using modern technology to expose and convert federal spending on contracts and grants to strict standards.”

In a government contract review, we order the agency to look for “waste, fraud, abuse.”

“Government payments and travel expenses should be justified and publicly available as much as possible,” he adds.

The agency head and their Doge team lead coordinate the reviews. Any contracts deemed unnecessary will terminate.

“The order reforms the way the federal government manages its properties,” the document says.

In a statement, the White House said the current system does not prioritize merit or protect taxpayer dollars.

This is the latest in many executive action Trump has taken since Trump returned to the White House in January. On Tuesday, he signed three executive actions.

One of these actions was a note pausing security clearance for law firm members Covington & Burling LLP.

Another order signed by Trump on Tuesday aimed at making medical prices more transparent.

The White House fact sheet ensures that departments of the Treasury, Labor, Health, and Welfare and Welfare Department “will disclose actual prices rather than estimated, and take steps to rival prices at hospitals and insurance companies, including prescription drug prices.”

Yet another order has been signed by Trump to begin investigating the threat that imported copper poses have fallen into “US national security and economic stability,” the White House said.
