Fresh off his conviction in New York state for falsifying business records, former President Donald Trump told Fox News he plans to get back at his opponents by getting his old job back.

“My revenge will be successful,” Trump said in an exclusive interview with “Fox & Friends Weekend.”

“They’re bad people. They’re sick and they do very destructive things…If it weren’t for me, they would have gone after someone else. I know a lot of my competitors. They wouldn’t do so well.”

The former president was convicted last week of 34 counts of falsifying business records after a trial he denounced as a “fraud.”

Biden supporters have made similar statements, accusing Judge Juan Merchan of being biased in favor of prosecutors, and many have accused Biden of using the justice system as a weapon against the president’s biggest political opponents.

In a key portion of the interview that aired Sunday, the Republican front-runner weighed in on several hot topics, including what he would seek if elected attorney general in November and whether he would declassify some critical files that have been the subject of conspiracy and speculation.

“Yes,” he told co-host Rachel Campos Duffy, arguing that he would declassify the 9/11, JFK and Epstein files to restore lost trust in American institutions.

Trump also said he had two people in mind for attorney general but made mistakes on key decisions during his first term, including the apparent nominations of Jeff Sessions and Bill Barr.

Trump’s legal team has vowed to appeal the conviction to the New York Court of Appeals and possibly to a higher court.

The former president is leading President Biden in opinion polls in several key battleground states and has signaled his dissatisfaction with the current administration.
