Trump Slams ‘Loser’ Dan Goldman for Urging NYPD to Arrest ICE Agents for Their Duties

Trump Critiques Goldman for Calling for Arrests of Federal Agents

On Thursday, President Donald Trump took aim at Congressman Dan Goldman, a Democrat from New York, for his request that the New York City Police Department (NYPD) arrest federal agents. Goldman had sent a letter on October 16 to NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch, claiming that officers from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) engaged in “outrageous and illegal conduct, including violent and unreasonable arrests of U.S. citizens.” When a reporter asked about Goldman’s request, Trump did not hold back in his criticism.

“Dan is a loser, you know. He’s a guy who doesn’t have what it takes. He’s been trying so hard, and they’re exhausted,” Trump said. “That’s so ridiculous, isn’t it? A suggestion like that. They’re trying so hard, but it’s not working.”

He also remarked on other Democrats, saying that they seem to be mimicking him but using offensive language excessively. “You can’t use the F-word seven times in one sentence. That doesn’t work,” he added. “They’re in trouble, that political party.”

Politico reported in March that Democrats have been using more profanity in an attempt to resonate with American audiences.

Goldman, on the other hand, denied any wrongdoing towards federal immigration officers during an appearance on “CNN Newsnight” on October 8. “I’ve never seen … 1,000 percent increases and all this stuff. I’ve never seen anything like that,” he stated.

In a bold suggestion, Border Patrol Chief Greg Bovino invited Goldman to experience the streets of Chicago firsthand, downplaying violence during a segment on American Report on October 9. “That congressman is blind,” Bovino remarked, referring to recent incidents involving law enforcement. “Maybe the congressman doesn’t want us to be with people who are alive.”

Bovino also expressed a challenge to Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker to walk with law enforcement, emphasizing the daily dangers they face. “It happens every day… we had another incident this morning… a Border Patrol agent was hit by a car, and someone was taken into custody. It happens every day, and he’s probably going to have to come out here and we’re going to show him something.”
