Trump Shows Off Unique Lapel Pin at White House Meeting
On Friday, President Trump sported an unusual accessory at the White House—a personalized lapel pin he referred to as “Happy Trump.”
During a meeting with executives from oil and gas companies in the East Room, the pin, depicting a cartoonish version of himself in a navy suit and red tie, caught attention. It was positioned just below his standard American flag pin.
Peter Doocy, a senior White House correspondent, noticed the detail and inquired, “You see the American flag lapel pin. What’s the other lapel pin?”
Trump explained that the pin was a gift, stating, “Someone gave me this. You know what it is? It’s called ‘Happy Trump.'” He held it up while elaborating, “And think about the fact that I’m never happy. I’m never satisfied. I’ll never be satisfied until we make America great again. But we’re getting pretty close.”
His comments quickly gained traction on social media, with users appreciating his humor. One user quipped, “Trump is wearing a ‘Happy Trump’ pin today. Why can’t you love this person?” while another asked, “Where can I get a Happy Trump pin?”
The discussion occurred as Trump hosted around 20 executives from major oil companies, such as Chevron and Exxon, to talk about investments in Venezuela following the U.S. military’s capture of President Nicolas Maduro.
Other officials present included Vice President J.D. Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, marking a noteworthy gathering focused on the future of U.S. oil interests abroad.
