Trump Discusses Survival Amid Violence

In a recent interview, President Trump shared that his plans involve a basic desire to “survive” given the current climate of left-wing violence.

This comment came during an interview with an American news network, where reporters inquired about his intentions to support GOP candidates on the campaign trail.

“I have big plans. I want to survive,” he said with a laugh.

Trump expressed concern over the increasingly dangerous political rhetoric, stating, “You see what’s going on, and it’s crazy. The rhetoric used by these crazy Democrats is very dangerous. They made politics very dangerous.”

Looking ahead, he mentioned being optimistic about the agenda for 2026, saying, “We’ll be very pleased with the work we’re trying to do.”

Reflecting on his past, Trump noted two assassination attempts during the 2024 presidential election. Notably, 22-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks attempted to kill him at a Pennsylvania rally, resulting in a serious injury. Crooks had cut Trump’s ears during the attack, which left him bandaged for days.

Trump remarked that the near-death experience was profound, often recalling firefighter Corey Compertole, who lost his life protecting his daughter from gunfire.

While the specifics of Crooks’ motives remain unclear, he was killed at the scene. Interestingly, Crooks had contributed to a Democratic fundraising platform in 2021, although he was registered as a Republican and had only voted once in 2022.

Another incident occurred two months post-Butler shooting, when 59-year-old Ryan Wesley Rouse was arrested for pointing a gun at Trump while he was golfing. Rouse claimed he had no political affiliations at that time, yet he had voted for Trump in 2016 but felt disenchanted with him later.

In a letter to a publication, Rouse expressed frustration over the two-party system, suggesting a shift towards alternative parties like the Libertarian and Green Parties.

Trump’s survival remarks follow an alarming incident involving Charlie Kirk, the head of TPUSA, who was shot during a public discussion, raising more security concerns within the political community.

Reports indicated that the assailant had attempted to target Kirk to propagate “hatred.”

As for his ongoing goals, Trump aims to support his allies in significant races nationwide and previously defeated Kamala Harris in the 2024 election, raising over $1 billion for various initiatives.

In a conversation with a governor, he explained, “So we have that money and we have to be able to spend it somewhere.”

Nonetheless, during the interview, he expressed some worry, stating, “One of the things I worry about is that for many years I haven’t seen numbers, but it seems that people who have won the presidency always seem to lose the midterm.”
