President-elect Trump and anchor George Stephanopoulos are scheduled to take depositions next week in Trump's defamation lawsuit against ABC News, a judge ruled Friday.
In March, Trump said on air after Stephanopoulos repeatedly said on air that a jury found Trump “responsible for rape” in a lawsuit filed by advice columnist E. Jean Carroll. and filed a lawsuit against Caster.
The jury found that Trump was liable for sexual abuse under New York state law, but not for rape.

Mr. Trump's defamation lawsuit centers on Mr. Stephanopoulos' March 10 interview with U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace (RS.C.) on “This Week.” While questioning lawmakers about their support for Trump, Stephanopoulos said 10 times that juries had found Trump responsible for the rapes.
When President Trump previously sued Carroll for defamation for repeatedly describing her as a rape, a federal judge ruled that New York state has a “minimal” legal distinction between rape and sexual abuse, so the depiction dismissed President Trump's claims, saying they remain substantially true.
Trump's lawsuit against ABC is currently in court after a judge in July rejected several defenses the ABC had asserted, including that it was protected by fair reporting privileges, and the network's attempt to fire him was rejected. is approaching.
